05 — Process

Six steps from first call to launch — and what we do after.

Hiring someone to build your digital presence shouldn't feel like crossing a chasm. We've broken our process into six clear steps so you always know what's happening, what's coming next, and exactly what we need from you.

01

Step One · Day 0 · Free

Discovery call

A free 30-minute call. We listen, ask, and figure out if we're a fit. We don't pitch — there's no slide deck, no hard sell. By the end of the call you'll know whether we're the right team for your project, and we'll know whether we can actually deliver what you need.

What you'll get out of it
  • An honest read on what your project actually needs
  • A rough sense of timeline and budget
  • A list of recommendations — even if you don't hire us
  • No follow-up pressure, no email funnel
02

Step Two · 24–48 hours later

Proposal & plan

Within 48 hours of our call, you'll get a written proposal with a fixed price, a clear scope, a delivery timeline, and exactly what's included. No "starting at" pricing, no hourly estimates that creep up. The number on the proposal is the number you'll see on the invoice.

In the proposal
  • Tier or custom scope, with everything included spelled out
  • Fixed total price — broken into deposit and final
  • Day-by-day timeline from kickoff to launch
  • What we need from you and when we need it
03

Step Three · Kickoff day

Kickoff & deposit

Once you sign and pay the deposit (50% to start), we kick off. You get a shared project space — usually Notion or Google Drive — with everything we'll need, organized for you. We hold a 30-minute kickoff call to walk through the workflow and confirm everyone's on the same page.

Kickoff includes
  • Shared project workspace set up and ready
  • 30-minute kickoff call with whichever partner is leading
  • Brand intake — colors, fonts, photos, voice, references
  • Direct line (text/email) to your partner-on-project
04

Step Four · Days 2 to 14 (depending on tier)

Build & review

We build. You review. We revise. Each tier includes two rounds of revisions baked into the price. We share progress at the halfway mark and again before launch — so you're never wondering what we're working on, and there are no "big reveals" that miss the mark.

Communication norms
  • Mid-build progress preview at the halfway mark
  • Pre-launch review with all revisions consolidated
  • Email response within 1 business day, always
  • Weekly check-in if you'd prefer it; silent build if you wouldn't
05

Step Five · Launch day

Launch & handover

We push live. You pay the final invoice. We hand over every account, every login, every file — all of it, owned by you. Then we sit down on a final 30-minute call to train you on anything you'll need to manage yourself, and we record it so you can rewatch it any time.

Handover includes
  • Every account and login transferred to your ownership
  • 30-minute training call, recorded for future reference
  • Written quickstart guide tailored to your setup
  • 30 days of post-launch support included with every project
06

Step Six · Ongoing (optional)

Ongoing partnership

Most clients keep us around on a monthly retainer for the stuff that comes up after launch — content updates, new pages, automation tweaks, the occasional crisis. Three plans, transparent pricing, cancel any time. Founding clients get the first month free.

Retainer options
  • Site Care — $99/mo · maintenance and support
  • Growth Partner — $299/mo · marketing & ongoing growth work
  • Ops Partner — $599/mo · part-time tech-and-ops department
  • Or pay only when you need us — no retainer required
— Communication norms

How we talk to clients.

The biggest complaint we hear about agencies isn't the work — it's the silence. Here's exactly how we communicate so you're never wondering whether we got your email.

01

Email reply within 1 business day.

Every email gets a response within one business day, even if the response is just "got it, working on it, full reply tomorrow." Silent treatment is not in our DNA.

02

Direct line to your partner.

You'll have a direct line — text, email, or phone — to the partner leading your project. No support queue. No "your account manager will get back to you."

03

Weekly updates by default.

Every Friday during a build, you'll get a short update — what we did this week, what's coming next week, anything we need from you. Want it more or less often? Say the word.

04

No surprises in scope or price.

If something comes up that would affect scope or price, we tell you the moment we see it — not at the end of the project. You always have the choice to keep the scope or expand it.

Ready to get started?

The first step is a 30-minute discovery call. No obligation, no pitch, no follow-up funnel.
