What we collect
When you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the details you share about your project. When you book a call through Calendly, we collect your name, email, and the time you've chosen. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. When you chat with us through the chat widget, we collect the messages you send and your email if you provide it. When you visit the site, we collect anonymous analytics data — pages viewed, time on site, country-level location, browser type — through Google Analytics.
What we don't collect
We don't collect payment information directly — invoices and payments are handled separately through standard processors. We don't run third-party advertising networks or behavioral tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no remarketing). We don't sell, rent, or share your information with anyone outside the third-party services listed below.
How we use it
Contact form submissions go to our team email so we can reply to you. Calendly bookings put a meeting on our calendar. Newsletter signups go to our email list, where we send occasional updates — never more than once a month, and you can unsubscribe with one click from the bottom of any email. Analytics data is reviewed in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and how to improve the site. Chat messages are read by our team to answer your questions.
Third-party services we use
We use a small set of trusted third-party services to run this site: Formspree handles contact form delivery, Mailchimp handles our newsletter, Calendly handles call scheduling, Tidio powers the chat widget, Google Analytics 4 provides anonymous traffic stats, and Netlify hosts the site itself. Each of these services has its own privacy policy, and your information passes through them when you use the related features. We've chosen each one based on a reasonable privacy posture.
Cookies and your choices
When you first visit, we ask before turning on any non-essential cookies. Nothing that tracks you or sets a non-essential cookie runs until you choose “Accept all.” If you choose “Reject non-essential,” our analytics stay off and the live chat widget does not load.
The cookies fall into two groups. Essential cookies keep the site working and remember your cookie choice — these are always on. Non-essential cookies power Google Analytics (anonymous traffic stats, no personal identifiers and no advertising or cross-site tracking) and the Tidio chat widget (so a conversation can continue between visits). These load only with your consent.
You can change your mind any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what information we have about you, request that we delete it, or unsubscribe from our newsletter. Email Mason@volkemtech.com and we'll handle it within a few business days. If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional legal rights (GDPR / CCPA) — same email, same response.
Children
This is a service for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes (anything that meaningfully affects what we collect or how we use it) will be announced via email to anyone on our newsletter list.
